A: You may be wondering this question, and if so, I am here today to answer that for you! Unfortunately, I do not have a website set up for Jesslyn Amber Photography to showcase my portfolio. Websites cost money and lots of time to update, and quite frankly, they've never proven to be truly successful for me. I have obtained two different websites in my career, and not only did I fail to keep them updated continuously with new photos to enhance my portfolio, but I also noticed that others didn't use it as much as other media outlets.
People didn't go to my website to look at my pictures - they looked at my Facebook page. They didn't use the website contact form - they would email me directly, message me on Facebook, or in most cases text or call me. All in all, people didn't navigate and utilize the website to all it's advantages, and in my opinion, it just wasn't worth the extra $100/year.
Instead, I decided to create a free blog and update it regularly because it is so much easier and convenient. Instead of constantly deleting old photos and adding a couple new ones from each new session to an album or slideshow for potential clients to use on the basis of hiring me, I decided to show multiple images through blog posts because it will give you a better understanding of my aesthetic and style, as well as spotlight my beautiful clients in a more meaningful way. Keep in mind that this blog is new, and I'm in the process of uploading past sessions.
