I'm Jesslyn Amber!
     — the girl behind the camera and hopefully your soon to be photographer!

In case you're wondering, I do go by both names. You can just pick your favorite! :) I'm from Middle Tennessee, I'm 27 years old, and I'm currently beginning my 5th year of teaching 7th grade English Language Arts.

I'm a huge Daddy's girl, Mama's best friend, a girlfriend of 3+ years, and a puppy mama to a cute little Maltipoo named Lilah.

I am a lover of Jesus, anything and everything vintage, sunshine, fresh flowers, dogs, reading, shopping, laughing, movies, Netflix, baking, sports - more specifically Alabama football and Braves baseball, and you guessed it—photography. I love everything about life and try to enjoy the simple things.

I bought my first DSLR camera in August of 2009 and started taking on free sessions that winter. Jesslyn Amber Photography was started in the spring of 2010. I photographed full time for 3 years until I graduated college and began my teaching career. I took a long hiatus to focus on my classroom, but now that I am comfortable in my profession, I'm relaunching my photography business. I've been doing this for 6+ years now, and I'm still learning new things every day. The excitement I feel after finding the perfect spot for a session... the butterflies I get after taking a beautiful photograph... the love I have for documenting moments and memories for family, friends, and clients... Those are some things that never will change.  Photography is a passion of mine, and I absolutely love being able to capture images that will make hearts smile for years to come.

I only accept limited sessions each season due to my busy schedule as a teacher and volleyball/softball coach. If you are interested in a session with me, please feel free to contact me! I would love to work with you. :)
